The Lesson Plan

Nice meeting you, Batch ‘10!

Posted in Uncategorized by Sir Martz on 29 May 2007

Hello to all students and parents of Batch ‘10!

Welcome! Feel free to look around but do leave a comment or two to make yourselves known! I’m also available for linking at Friendster and YM! Leave a comment and I will e-mail you my Yahoo!ID.

And so it begins! I had a blast meeting all of you at the orientation this afternoon. I am just so jazzed up for this school year and I can’t wait to get started! I really liked the energy we had in the room and I promise, we’re just getting started!

What follows is the PowerPoint of the presentation I delivered earlier.

More will be revealed about the course in the first week of class. The first three meetings will be about laying the foundations of the year. No lessons yet, although we will start thinking about history and why we should even bother with it for a year.

I will also tease some of the major activities for the year during that first week. Let’s just say that I had always been a big fan of reality TV shows such as Amazing Race and Survivor, and so we’ll be seeing some of that this year but not in the way you would expect!

And students, there will be a huge surprise on the second day. Stay tuned! (That last sentence is a clue.)

Until then, feel free to look around the blog. I highly recommend that you visit Batch 09’s fantastic Pisay Meets World project which we are incredibly proud of. This year, I hope to guide you in something that you too will always remember.

Cheers and see you on Monday!

P.S. By the way, which sections am I teaching? I already have some idea but the official announcement will be on Friday morning here. Watch for it!
