Pisay, let’s join the 3rd Mondialogo School contest!

Open to students aged 14 to 18, the 3rd Mondialogo School Contest will partner one school with another school from a different country and culture. Together, they will collaborate using any means necessary (e-mail, instant messaging, postal service) in order to come up with a unique project.

One of the winning projects last year was from an Italian and Indonesian team. The Indonesians helped put up a small school, and the Italians raised awareness and funds for the school. Visit this site for an overview of the projects from the last contest.

The project will run from January to May 2008. Judging is on July and announcement of winners on September. Deadline of registration is November 2007.

50 of the most outstanding teams will be invited to join the Mondialogo International Symposium 2008. No venue has been stated yet, but the last one was held in Rome. The three most outstanding teams will receive € 500, € 1,000 and € 1,500 for the benefit of their schools.

So, are you interested to join? Any current PSHS student aged 14 to 18 can join. I’ll be bringing this up with the Social Studies Unit and I’ll be putting together a team soon. I am very confident you scholars can pull this off. And I think this will be one awesome learning experience for you.

    Cool naman. Once, culture separated nations and divided the people. But now, people of different cultures can and will make a difference. I’m willing to join :)
