Thought Matrix is a dynamic, online only quest where you will have the chance to have a work published right here at AKOMISMO.

Starting the week of September 3, one to three articles written by students will be featured in this blog every week. For a team to successfully win the Thought Matrix quest, they must be able to publish at least two articles from now until the end of Wu Wei in the 4th quarter.

This quest unlocks the Level 4 spell of the Water element.

Having an article approved from your group will grant +2 Chi points to your Water element and +1 Chi to the other four elements. Whoever wrote that article will receive an additional +1 Chi point.

We will be forming a judge’s circle where I will serve as one member with one vote and five other members with one vote each as well. But in every round of voting, only five judges will operate at a time. Here is an example of how it works

When approving an article from Adelfa, the judges will be Sir Martin plus the representatives from Camia, Dahlia, Ilang-Ilang and Rosal. When from Camia, the judge from Adelfa will step in and the judge from Camia will step out, and so on.

Each section will have one dedicated week at a time. It will be a random draw of five weeks at a time.

The judges will remain anonymous and their identities will only be known by me. They can join the quest and contribute articles as well since they won’t be included in the round of judging.

All articles should be e-mailed to me at sir[dot]martz[at]gmail[dot]com before I forward them to the judges.

The articles will be circulated among the e-mails of the active judges, and they simply cast their vote after reading the article and replying with a YES or NO. An article must receive at least 3 yes votes.

What kind of articles will we be looking for?

• Commentaries on national or global news and events
• Reviews of historical (preferably Asian) or political films, cartoons, video games, music and books
• Social analyses, opinions and reflections/rants (like The Unofficial List of All Things Wrong with Metro Manila Traffic)

Articles must be of excellent quality with need of minimal editing. Be reminded that they are for publication here in AKOMISMO. Entries can be submitted in either straight English or Filipino.

If you are a blogger and your work gets published here, you will be duly linked from this page to your blog. You will also be required to post an excerpt of your published article over at your own blog and link back to here as well.

For a week, the maximum number of articles is 3. There should be at least one day between each (if one article goes out on Monday, the next is Wednesday). Articles for publication must be approved one week in advance.
