The Lesson Plan

The following “grand plan” is my response to all our canceled and missed classes. This has the best balance of core content and additional activities to make the lessons more meaningful. We will be able to watch all those videos I’ve planned before, hit all the points we have to as required by the syllabus, and not require any of you to attend make up classes.

We have slowed down the past two weeks to give you guys more time to breathe in between your Humanities Week practices. I know you’ve been pushing yourselves to the limit, and thus I’ve decided to have more leisurely discussions of Eastern philosophy in class. However, the pace will pick up after Humanities Week but don’t worry. You’ll be well prepared by then.

• Dahlia, Ilang (CNs 1 to 15) and Rosal will submit their journals on September 18.
• For those who haven’t read The Tao of Pooh yet, September 21 is your deadliest deadline.
• All Puh will be submitted on September 19. Your Puh will be graded towards your Papers/Projects component. (Remember, I can’t fail honesty! )

• Adelfa and Camia will submit their journals on September 24.
• Ilang (CNs 16 to 30) will submit their journals on September 25.
• You are encouraged to write reviews of The First Emperor for the Thought Matrix quest.

• Our exam will be mostly objective in nature. The essay requirement for the quarter will be the 2nd LT.
• Your Puh will be returned on our meetings on October 1 and 2. There will be a special activity for it which I will check on October 5, after exams.

You are encouraged to write reviews of Genghis Khan for the Thought Matrix quest.

Details on the 2nd Quarter LT will be revealed on the evening of September 17. For now, focus on your Humanities Week presentations.
