Keep the brandy just yet, I got to write!

“Sometimes, I imagine Martin like a hardened journalist — sitting down in front of the computer with a bottle of brandy in hand.”
- My dad reacting to a friend who wonders where I get all the time to blog

I’ve been working on my presentation for tomorrow since I woke up this morning. I joined my family as they relaxed in a sports club in Cavite, and luckily I found a nice quiet corner there and just wrote, wrote and wrote. I don’t usually prepare for my speeches but this one is special. I was literally speaking as I wrote — and I never do that.

If you think about it, this will be the first time I talk about my experience as a teacher-blogger. There really is a lot to say and I’ve been working hard to focus everything into one smooth narrative. This should be easy, and easier — if you don’t think too hard — since I do tell stories almost every day. It’s all a matter of making an impact I suppose, as is the goal of any person facing an audience for the first and possibly last time.

Anyway, I wouldn’t want to go into the intricacies of my speech. For one, I’m still writing it and two, I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise. Also, writing this entry is already deducting time from getting actual work done so I’ll post again once things are settled.

To those attending BK2, see you all tomorrow! :)

By the way dad, it’s vodka that I love. :)
