Glorietta 2 blast update: bomb theory downgraded, gas leak theory pursued
Two enlightening presentations are available at the Inquirer.net website. You can view them here and here. As of now, it seems to be an industrial accident and apparently, the Ayalas are all too willing to choke it all up. The following slides summarize the presentations full of pictures:
It’s difficult to deny the forensic evidence and thus, I renege on my previous labeling of this incident as an overt bombing. Nonetheless, I will retain those labels to mark my feelings at the moment; this blog is a journal too. And while it remains so easy to speculate and insist that this is anything but an accident, doing so isn’t really helpful.
Of course, I have my own conspiracy theories but there is a much greater satisfaction than being the one who called it first — it’s helping unearth the truth, regardless of whatever shape it takes. Thus we remain vigilant. It’s the least we can do for the lives snuffed out in a phantom moment. As the cliche goes — it could have been us.
