Quote for today, “The Philippines is my only country.”
My hero today is Cory Aquino. Asked whether she ever tires of rallying the public, she candidly answered, “Wala akong choice, Pilipinas lang ang aking bayan.”
“I have no choice, the Philippines is my only country.”
Amen to that. These days, we may argue the merits of People Power but we cannot deny that though she gave us Kris, Mrs. Aquino led us to freedom as well. She shone the light when we needed it most, and these days she remains a constant reminder of where we can find that spark — not in any one person, but in every one.
I like what she said in all its simple candidness. It’s almost like truth serum has been going around lately, so let’s give some to the people in the Palace.

you write as if Kris is a mistake in the world. She’s not that bad, sure she has had scandals but she’s still a person like you and me.
